1/22/07 - Reggie:

Okay, well, it's 2008. That's just terrific. About two and a half weeks ago Dave and Tom posted a message saying that a new site would be up in a few days, but then one of them was too busy watching football and the other was too busy puking his guts out. Well, as they say, all's well that ends well, and the site is up, so, hooray I guess. When the other bozos get ready to work on the main game again, you'll hear about it here first, but until then, I'm gonna go draw some pictures of little animals, and maybe get the map done/ uploaded. Anyway, we'll post updates on this page. woop.

old site words/ info/ don't sue us:

"Carl Quest" was made with RPGmaker2000 by Ascii. It is a not-for-profit-project. The translation of RM2K used was the 'Don Miguel' translation, which seems to be the most prolific version. Much of the sprites and backgrounds are the property of Ascii, while the photographs and other 'large character' sprites, and all larger illustrations are by and remain the property of waterlizard team. When the game is finished, we intend to submit all media created directly by us to the public domain for the benefit of the rpg-making community. Several image sets and midis were provided by various internet sources which are credited in the game. Other images are used without permission.*

Aside from all that, the storyline, level design, event programming, character concepts, main logos, and overall concept of "Carl Quest" is the sole property of Waterlizard Team and we would appreciate it if no one stole any of that stuff.

"Carl Quest" is based on (an extremely exaggerated version of) actual events. Very few names or places have been changed to protect the innocent.*

*Please don't sue us, we are funny.

Carl Quest is yet another questionably worthwhile project from the Waterlizard Team. If you have questions or comments about this site or the game, you can get up with us on the WL forum. If you prefer a more direct approach, you can send some email to Reggie at:

If you are from some big game company here to check us out, it should be fairly obvious, after playing our demos, that Dave, Tom, and sometimes Pat are creative geniuses and master game designers. You should give us a lot of money to write/ direct a game for you. We will all make a jillion dollars. you know it. We're waiting for your call.
